Seed Funding for Cooperation with the Global South 2019, Funding: TU Berlin, Department of International Affairs

The "Seed Funding Programme for Cooperation with Partners in the Global South" enables scientists from Savannakhet University in Laos (SKULAO) and Technische Universität Berlin, Work Studies and Didactics in Berlin (Germany) to deepen their research on Nutrition and Consumer Education. Preliminary studies were part of teaching research project at the University of Education Karlsruhe (Germany) in 2017. Students shared digital stories about the origin of our food via virtual exchange formats.

Sustainable consumption and digitization are the focus of  the Seed Funding Program. The reference to Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), especially SDG 4 (education), sustainable consumption (SDG 12) and partnerships (SDG 17) is established. The central idea is to enable consumers to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for the environment. There will be three steps: 1. promote the commencement of collaboration, 2. gain a deeper understanding of the respective interests and possibilities and 3. prepare a joint third-party funded research project application, funding for mobility.
